| Disable Windows system sounds |
If you are using Windows 98, Me, 2000, NT, 2003, XP, or Media-Center follow these instructions to disable system sounds:
1. Start Menu > Control Panel
2. Launch 'Sounds and Audio Devices'
3. Open the 'Sound' Tab
3. In Sound Scheme, select 'No Sounds'
4. If you’re prompted to save your previous sound scheme, click Yes. Give it any name and click OK.
Done! No more Windows sounds!
If you are using Windows Vista follow these instructions to disable system sounds:
1. Start Menu > Control Panel
2. Click on 'Hardware and Sound'
3. Bellow 'Sound', click on 'Change system sounds'
4. In Sound Scheme, select 'No Sounds'
5. If you’re prompted to save your previous sound scheme, click Yes. Give it any name and click OK.
Done! No more Windows sounds!
