These files are recorded in WMV/WMA format and you can review them along with the captured images over the web using a web browser if the web server is running and you have a public IP address.

Recordings can differ in duration because the recording process will endure as long as the overall level is being verified. So if the overall level was verified for 10 minutes then the recorded copy of it will also have 10 minutes of duration.
