| Grab images from an external DVD player |
1AVCenter allows you capture images from external video devices connected to your computer through the TV tuner card.
Learn about connecting external video devices.
Once you have an external DVD player properly connected to the S-Video or Composite-Video entry on your TV tuner card, follow these steps:
If you have your TV tuner card successfully installed and 1AVCenter is not listing it on any capture profile, open the 'Tools Menu' and click on 'Detect Hardware and Create Profiles'.
Once 1AVCenter has detected your TV tuner card it will create a capture profile called 'Capture and Record A/V from <Name of TV Card Manufacturer>'. Select this capture profile.
Capture profiles that have the TV tuner card as video source will start by capturing the TV tuner, and to be able to capture external devices connected to the TV tuner card you will have to open the 'Profile Settings' dialog.
With the TV tuner as video source open the 'Profile Settings' dialog and follow these steps:
_ Click on the 'Video available settings' button.
_ A popup menu will appear, select the menu 'Video Input' and then select the sub menu item 'S-Video' or 'Composite-Video'.
_ The TV tuner card switches to the S-Video or Composite-Video entry and the external DVD player video is now the video source.
_ Click Connect.
_ Click OK.
_ Press <Ctrl+H> or click the 'Grab snapshot' button on the 'Main Toolbar' to capture snap shots of the external DVD player.
_ Done!
This will also work for other external video devices such as VCRs, Micro cameras, analog TVs, etc...
