FTP Client

You can access the 'FTP Client' through the 'Uploader'.

Until you have configured the FTP Client it will automatically be shown to you every time you attempt to upload a file.



Site - Public name such as ‘ftp.somesite.com’ or the actual IP address of the web site.

Use Proxy - If you connect to the internet through a Firewall/Proxy Server then you must fill in the IP address and port of the Firewall/Proxy Server for the FTP protocol. Click this button to fill your Firewall/Proxy Server information.

Port - Default port for the FTP protocol on a web site is port 21. This port shouldn’t have to be changed. Type another port if recommended by your site administrator.

Anonymous login - Selecting anonymous login allows you to access an FTP site without a username or password. Note that anonymous login is granted by the FTP site therefore anonymous logins may not be available depending on the site you’re connecting to.

User ID - If the FTP site requires authentication you will need to inform the correct combination of user id and password to be able to upload files to the site.

Password - If the FTP site requires authentication you will need to inform the correct combination of user id and password to be able to upload files to the site.
