SMTP client

You can access the 'SMTP Client' through the 'E-mailer', or the 'Web Server Settings' dialog.

Until you have configured the SMTP client you won't be able to send e-mails.

SMTP Server - Online server that you use as your mail server.

SMTP Port - This port is 25 by default and it shouldn't have to be changed unless instructed by your site administrator.

Mail server requires authentication - Most mail servers require authentication but you may not use one of them.

Username - Same username/password you use for Outlook or Lotus or Netscape for example

Password - Same username/password you use for Outlook or Lotus or Netscape for example.

Send in HTML - Graphical elements in e-mail. This is merely a graphical issue. It has no technical implications.

Send in plain text - Pure text. This is merely a graphical issue. It has no technical implications.

Sender address - All e-mails will be sent from this address therefore it has to be a valid address on your server.

Recipient for tests - Recipient to receive the test e-mail. It has no other purpose besides to receive the test e-mail.
