If you have a web cam then you'll find a profile ready-to-use for web cam surveillance. To select it use the 'Profile Selector', or click the 'Profile Toolbar' on the 'Monitor web cam' profile, or open the 'Profile Wizard' and select the 'Monitor web cam' profile.
Position your web cam pointing to the area you want to surveillance monitor.
_ The capture window will be showing the contents of the web cam.
_ Open 'Surveillance Monitor Settings' if you intend to change detection levels and what tasks you want to execute when activity is detected. Within 'Surveillance Monitor Settings' you will find the Surveillance Monitor Tasks.
_ Wait until there is no activity in front of the web cam because 1AVMonitor will first analyze no activity to know what some activity is.
_ Click on 1AVMonitor's 'Surveillance Monitor Action Toolbar' 'Start' button to start monitoring.
1AVMonitor will then analyze capture and after analysis it will start monitoring.
Note that you can access the surveillance monitor remotely but for that the web server must also be running and you must have a public IP address..
