Understanding differences for audio and video

With 1AVCenter you can make live broadcasts of audio and video separated or together.

The basic difference between audio and video broadcasts is that audio occupies a lot less transmission bandwidth therefore the chances of perfect reception are greatly increased even for a greater number of listeners.

As broadcasts are based on Windows Media Technologies the quality and reliability of broadcasts is ensured however both for audio and video you must select the correct transmission rate in order for your audience to receive the live feed properly.

Note that for your live broadcasts to be accessed from anywhere you will need a public IP address otherwise the broadcast reach will be local.

Also the transmission 'encoders' are different for audio and video broadcasts therefore if you switch from video to audio or vice-versa pay attention to the transmission rate being used.

Number one rule for selecting the transmission rate is ensuring that its transmission speed is less or equal to the internet connection speed of your targeted audience. That is if your audience connects to the internet using 128Kbps speeds then the transmission rate to choose must be equal or less than 128Kbps.
