Select the capture profile named 'Monitor microphone' using the 'Profile Selector', or the 'Profile Toolbar'. If the profile 'Monitor microphone' doesn't exist then create a new capture profile using the 'Profile Wizard', and select no video and the microphone as the audio source. Click 'Next', check the 'Surveillance Monitor capture' checkbox and click 'Next' again.

Position your Microphone pointing in an area without interferences.

_ The capture window will be showing the audio real-time analysis of the microphone.

_ Open 'Surveillance Monitor Settings' if you intend to change detection level or other options.

_ Wait until there is no activity around the microphone because 1AVCenter will first analyze no activity to know what some activity is.

_ Click on 1AVCenter's 'Surveillance Monitor Action Toolbar' 'Start' button to start monitoring

1AVCenter will then analyze capture and after analysis it will start monitoring.

Note that you can access the surveillance monitor remotely but for that the web server must also be running and you must have a public IP address..
