1AVCapture will automatically create profiles for you when it runs for the first time.

To create a new profile you have to open the 'Profile Wizard'.

To create a new capture profile click on a profile that says 'Profile Not Set'.

Select the 'Video Source' and/or 'Audio Source' you want.

Name the profile preferably using a short description that can quickly identify what it does. The name you give to the profile is the name that will appear on tool tips later so that you can quickly identify it. Now click on 'Connect'.

The new profile is then created and you can start putting it to use by clicking 'Next' and selecting the tasks you want for the new profile.
